Bruichladdich WMD II 'The Yellow Submarine' 14 Year Single Malt Scotch - 1991 Release

Released in the mid-2000s and featured in 1001 Whiskies You Must Try Before You Die, the “WMD” name references a lighthearted story created by the distillery during a period of financial difficulty.

This whisky was matured for fourteen years and finished in Rioja wine casks before being bottled at 46% ABV. Produced in limited quantities, it reflects Bruichladdich’s experimental approach to cask finishing during the early 2000s and remains a collectible release from the distillery.
