Distilled in 1988 at Bruichladdich Distillery and bottled in 2019, this 30-year-old single malt was released as part of the Rare Cask series. It was matured in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-bourbon squat hogsheads—shorter casks used by the distillery in earlier decades, typically holding around 210 liters. Titled “The Untouchable,” it remained in the same casks throughout its maturation without re-racking. The release was limited to 6,000 bottles.
