1988 Bouchard Pere & Fils Comte Liger-Belair La Romanee Grand Cru

$1,499.99

La Romanée Grand Cru, at 0.8452 hectares, is the smallest AOC in France and a monopole of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair. Assembled in the early 19th century by Comte Louis Liger-Belair, the vineyard has remained in the family ever since. From 1933 to 2001, it was leased to growers, with winemaking handled externally. For decades, the wine was sold to various négociants, including Leroy, Bichot, and Bouchard Père & Fils, and rarely bottled by the domaine itself.
