Eagle Rare '101 Proof' 10 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon (1979 Release)

These early bottles were distilled at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg before the label was acquired by the Sazerac Company in the late 1980s.

Founded in 1910 by JTS Brown & Sons, the Four Roses Distillery, originally known as Old Prentice, is notable for its Spanish mission-style architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Reopened in 1933 following Prohibition, the distillery was acquired by Seagram in 1946, which relocated production of its Four Roses brand there and renamed the facility accordingly.
