Distilled in 1974, bottled in 1997 as part of Diageo's Rare Malts Selection, is a Speyside single malt whisky distilled at the Mannochmore Distillery near Elgin, Scotland. This limited edition release showcases the distillery's early production, as Mannochmore was established in 1971 and began producing single malt whisky in 1992. 

The Rare Malts Selection was a series launched by United Distillers (now part of Diageo) in the mid-1990s, featuring cask-strength bottlings from both operational and closed distilleries. The Mannochmore 22 Year Old 1974 is one of the few official single malt releases from Mannochmore, making it a notable example of the distillery's early output.
